Minor Revisions, Bigger Vision!?

Okay so for this website revision I figured I could spiff up my website and add those final touches that make it unique. Changing fonts, fixing picture crops, duplicating layouts, adding labels to pictures, changing the wording of tabs, color modifications, all the little things that come together to make it look more put together and polished. I ALSO added a fashion tab! Most likely what will go on that tab will be from fashion art exhibits I’ve been to, but is subject to some cute outfits of other peoples if I see any strolling by on campus.

Basically I want this website to be a reflection of my work beyond this class, having the ability to be used in cover letters or as a portfolio for future employers. I think if I want to work for a media platform such as VICE or National Geographic (goals, you know?!) a website will be crucial to showcasing my photography and cinematography work, as well as showing how I can manage my own digital platform and keep it updated, relevant, and on trend aesthetically.

What I think I’ll do at the finale of the class is I will take my whole blog page and make it into a “Digital Media Criticism” page, name to be modified, where I’ll be able to show my writing skills and critical analysis of media and film. I think being able to show diversity in my digital presence and abilities, as well as my ability to think critically and write will give me a confident start in applying for Media-related internships and jobs. What do you think?!
