WPS COMPLETION AND FINAL REPORT

My website experience creation experience has been a great journey thus far. I believe a natural process of putting your work and creativity out there on any platform is that you second guess it at some points, you wonder if its good enough, and you wonder if you’ve done all you can do for the moment. I recently scrolled through my years and years of Facebook pictures and remembered how the settings on pictures has changed since I got my Facebook in 6th grade. Now I can hide whatever pictures I want from my timeline, hide old profile pictures and cover photos from everyone but myself, or from everyone except certain people. This ability to change what people see on my profile with just the ease of changing a setting, shows to me the ability to basically go back and hide parts of my life, my work, and my creativity, that I may believe to now be distasteful, out of place, or not up to my standard. And just like that, my 'image' has changed. What I show the digital world has changed. Take this as a positive or a negative, the ability to change the way people see you just based on a change in your digital media or social media platforms. But also we have to always remember that regardless of if you can change a setting and make is disappear from view, the post, picture, profile, will always be out there somewhere in the digital world.

I think this idea of evolution through deleting and changing the past to create the present also extends to my website. Just like the pictures on my Facebook that are years and year old continue to be filtered, evolved, and changed by me, my website will become the same. Bringing elements of my past into my present, deleting content as I see creatively fit, and consistently working hard to change and push my own ideas of creativity into something different and new.

Based on my previous WPS posts I compiled a list of goals I mentioned throughout the content creation:

Goals

1. Create a website with my own content i.e. photos, videos, music, assignments

2. Dark theme contrasted with cool colors/ white/light text

3. Easy accessibility

4. No overlap on text and pictures

5. Everything fitting the website space (I had issues at one point where I made everything way too big to fit on the actual website and not the template)

6. Consistency in format i.e. webpage title sizes, fonts, colors

7. Easy to navigate assignments/blog page for Eric

Overall, I know I reached all my goals in content, creation, and creativity. Keeping the photos updated and relevant, as well as adding more photography tabs will help me keep the website looking new and fresh. I still hope to someday put my own music on my website, but this is a long term goal.

Feel free to stay tuned on my website for more content, revisions, and work that will come in the following semester (:
